The scientific-proven basis behind the eVO System is known as "Continuous Passive Motion", or "CPM". CPM is the movement of a joint or extremity (by an external device) through a range of motion without voluntary movement of the limb. This process reduces the inflammation of the affected joint and tissue site after a period of time. Clinical experiments have shown that the use of CPM equipment promotes healing, decreases pain and edema, and improves range of motion.
